The Kunsthalle offered a very well thought through composition of art. It showcases work from the old masters to contemporary art.

Each room was equipped with an interesting and entertaining introduction of the artists or epoch and diverse artwork at the walls and sculptures in the centre. Luckily, the Kunsthalle offered enough seating spaces, for visitors to rest and to invite them to have a longer gaze at some of the pieces.

The so- called “transparent museum” gives the the visitor an insight into a museums work and explanations are supported via listed examples. This makes the theory easier to understand and accessible for younger visitors, as well.

Additionally to the ordinary exhibition, it presented work from the artist Anita Rée. Her impressive work was grouped in matching categories and showed the diversity of her art. Personally, I was only disappointed by the sculpture gallery. This could have been better organized and filled with more objects.
